FILM NOIR

Film Noir is French for Black Film, Film Noir is a cinematic term to describe stylish Hollywood crime dramas, particularly those that focus on cynical attitudes and sexual motivations.
Film Noir can be recognised by chiaroscuro, a term meaning light and dark, also shadows from the Venetian blinds cast upon the actors face. Film Noir is also known for its use of low angle, wide angle or skewed angle shots. Also the women characters in film noir play very provocative roles.

From studying Media A Level, I am familiar with Film Noir films, so to help me with my research I am going to re-watch films such as "Dead men don't wear Plaid" and "Double Indemnity"

I can use this research to allow me design an outfit that relates to Film Noir. I already have a few ideas, but some illustrations need to take place first!
